Attention!

Attention! Attention!
Did I forget to mention?
The rent is due
But you're clean out of Benjamins

There's no reason to fret
There's not enough greenbacks to make up for what you lack
You could never pay anyway
Even if all the right conditions were met

He wouldn't take your money
Because it's tainted
Painted with your sins
Riddled with the bullets of blood on your hands
The sands of time do not rewind
And in your case this is a gracious reprieve
Deceiving as you do
Who knew the person hiding behind that mask?
Go ahead...ask for clock to be set back
He has a knack of wiping away the cobwebs
Developing the memories you've tried to delete
Secrets laid bare and you'll be left staring gapingly

Believe the writing on the wall
Stalling will do you no good
Footin' it down the fire escape
The best you should hope for at the bottom
Is the Son who paid for your entrance through the door
Enabling your soul, wounded, beaten and broken
A never-ending escape from hell
Well well...looky here...at the bottom of the stairs
Staring at you is the Man extending His hands
Wanting you, drawing you to accept His gift
The shift of time that tore the veil in two
Shoots you in the face
Mistake it for nothing else
Except an unabated rush of loving sacrifice of blood
A death for the death you deserve
A resurrection for the resurrection you could taste
Let faith take hold and faith your way into His arms

Grace awaits you in your faith
Strafing down upon the dark in your soul
Filling it full with light
So you can be in the light as He is in the light

You might find questions with no answers
You might find oppositions with no defenses
You might find strangers willing to listen
You might give peace in a world dying in comparisons
You might shed light in the shadowy places

You should show His love because the hate is silencing

Attention! Attention!
Did I forget to mention?
The rent is paid
Make your way outside and fight
Fight for the Fighter who fought for you
The One who death could not wrought
